Ferrero Rocher S. Korea

When Ferrero Rocher first arrived in Korea it was considered a unique confectionary gift. However, recently competition within the confectionary category increased tremendously with premium options such as Godiva or Royce entering the market. In addition to that, confectionary in Korea is traditionally only gifted during certain occasions (eg. Exams, Christmas, Valentines). The aim was to expand sales year round beyond the traditional occasions & increase brand recognition.

We developed a 360 campaign for the Korean market spearheaded by a TV spot shot in Italy starring Korean actor/heart-throb Lee Min Ho and paired with multiple seasonal activations on ground and social media all under the banner “Say it with Italian Flair”, where we conveyed that gifting in a more casual manner, regardless of the occasion is considered cool and modern, as demonstrated by our unconventional star Lee Min Ho.

Upon launching the TVC, the result was immediately outstanding, over a million hits within the first three days, and 3.1 million+ hits to date.
The campaign overall has garnered more than 900 media impressions as well. Brand interaction is at an all time high in South Korea.
