Fellowes

While Canadians are thinking about tax time and all the sensitive paperwork associated with the season, build awareness of using a Fellowes shredder to lessen your risk of identity theft and make Fellowes synonymous with security and efficiency. For a client accustomed to running static banner ads, flyer inserts and stock photo-driven social posts, it seemed like a lot of money. For us, it meant coming up with a clever campaign that could overcome the trappings of a very dry category to catch the attention of working professionals interested in security, identity theft, office supplies, taxes and personal finance.

Office supplies are borrrring. Preparing your tax return? Even boring-er. In the past, Fellowes and its competitors had tried ominous stats and fear tactics in an effort to scare people into covering their paper trails, but the message was getting stale. We knew we needed to convey the impact of using a shredder to destroy your personal documents in a way that was fresh, fun and memorable. We created Shredded Puzzles, “the game that never ends,” a fictional line of 5,000,000-piece puzzles we featured on a very real microsite, ShreddedPuzzles.com.
